In the summer of 1994, a writer called John Sebastian inadvertently stepped on a landmine. He and his instructor and fellow pupils, Anne R. Brewer and Daniel Solomon, were also preparing to depart for Paris, France to get a excursion. This was an assignment given out by the American university that they attended.
These were only two of several students around the globe who had accepted the essay writing class. It was being educated within these general studies. They didn’t know at that time the coming trip would develop into the beginning of a life-long experience.
1 night, when most of the additional students were also asleep, John ended his last essay until he left Paris. He sat there at the center of the seminar room, sweating and breathing deeply, a nervous energy which almost seemed to over take him. He set it apart, unwilling to share his thoughts of any one of the additional students.
Before he moved , he took a duplicate of one of his favorite poems, one he retained in a file in his house along with one he proposed to used at a speech at the University of Texas. He piled it behind the top he wore this day, however once he came back into this class, he found the poem had been put in a folder beside the notebook featuring his own essay. He snatched the poem and put it away before he spoke.
He wrote it down in a journal that he kept with him while he had been on his own trip. His journal entries later disclosed the road that led him to beat the French edge that afternoon and the causes which led him to create those words into his diary.
Some time later, he submitted his essay to a student publication for the publication. He hoped it’d get picked up, but shortly , he discovered that the magazine, the one where he expected to get a contest, wouldnot publish his job. John decided to rewrite his article for a different novel, but it never made it to publish. It didn’t get published until 2020.
John Sebastian and Anne Brewer and Daniel Solomon would never forget the lessons which John Sebastian learned throughout his journey. He had developed a personal philosophy about life that will shape the rest of his life.
